Biography of Mrs. Tomika L. Walker
Mrs. Tomika L. Walker has been a dedicated K-5 educator for 24 years, inspiring students and colleagues alike with her passion for teaching and learning. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Stillman College and a Master’s degree in Educational Technology from Kaplan University. Throughout her career, Mrs. Walker has served as a clinical teacher and mentor, guiding aspiring educators by modeling effective planning and instructional practices.
Her expertise includes designing and delivering professional development sessions on programs such as Go Math and I-Ready Math, as well as implementing project-based learning strategies that led to a 15% increase in math achievement among elementary students. Mrs. Walker has also collaborated on curriculum development and implemented classroom management plans across various grade levels.
In recognition of her innovative teaching methods, Mrs. Walker was invited to present at the University of Alabama's On-Line Innovation Summit (OLIS), where she spoke on instructional strategies to enhance classroom engagement and effectiveness. Biography of Mrs. Ameshia Al-Badani
Mrs. Ameshia Al-Badani has been a dedicated K-5 educator for 21 years, inspiring students and colleagues with her expertise and passion for teaching. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Alabama State University and has consistently demonstrated her talents as an effective teacher and mentor.
Specializing in teaching reading to 2nd-grade students, Mrs. Al-Badani has successfully implemented initiatives such as the ACAP program and other testing strategies. Through her innovative teaching methods and supplementary instruction, her students have achieved a remarkable 15% improvement in their I-Ready Testing scores each quarter.
At Brewbaker Primary School, Mrs. Al-Badani maintains high academic standards, ensuring consistent upward trends in internal testing averages. Her impact extends beyond academics, as she focuses on the individual growth and development of each student.
